Activity

Hello again to everyone.  We're seeing more and more activity as folks are returning to our desert paradise.  The October weather is absolutely beautiful although afternoon temps are still in the 90s.  Quite a few vehicles are now in the parking lot that just a few weeks ago was almost bare.

The back nine  is turning its rich green vibrant color and looks beautiful.

The sprinklers are hard at work as we haven't had any rain in weeks.

Happy belated birthday to a dear friend.....Linda Steward.

There's another new restaurant waiting for you if you like Japanese food.  It's called Sho Ga and is located in the little plaza behind Wendys.  Those folks who like tempura or sushi type foods really enjoy the place.

One more interesting tidbit for you.  We found this mud dauber nest affixed to one of the houses we watch.  This has truly been one busy bee as the nest is built by a solitary female.   Just imagine how many trips she has made from the nearest mud puddle.  Puddles are hard to find here in the desert.

It's fascinating to see the inside of one of these so I copied this picture from the internet for you.

Don and I have this little decorative bird house on our patio.....and we have a mud dauber who has claimed squatter's rights to it as she flies in and out on a regular basis.  I imagine she has quite a nest in there by now.  She makes a good tenant as she doesn't bother anyone plus she rids us of a lot of spiders as her main food source.

The Activities Office is officially open as of yesterday so you can stop in and pick up your event tickets at any time.  Also....just FYI for those of you returning soon, our new badges are lengthwise this year but look pretty much the same as usual.  Get your name tag at the front desk and then you can stop at the gate house to get your annual sticker for your car.  You must have your new badge with you to get your sticker.

Have a GREAT day!  .....and remember to SMILE.
